ZENITH SPPS: A SYSTEM FOR
OPERATIVE - CALENDAR PLANNING
AND DISPATCHING CONTROL
The "Zenith SPPS" system (Zenith), being an element of a hardware-software
production management complex, provides increaseing the basic process
equipment productivity and transparency of the technological processes
realized at industrial enterprises.
According to the developers, the Zenith system can be considered as a
core of systems
for control of modern industrial shops, integrating in a single unit automated
technological preparation of the manufacture (routing technologies), operative-calendar
planning (estimation, correction and computer support of the industrial
graphs),
dispatching control of the components movement and availability.
Purpose
Due to optimization of the machine-tool system loading and rational use
of available labor, Zenith allows to ensure the maximal yield of capital
investments in the basic process equipment, reduce the uncompleted manufacture
volume, cut down the material and labor consumption.
Zenith allows to automate the intrashop document circulation (technological
documentation registration, issuing of orders, drawing up of shift and
daily tasks and active-operational cards).
On the basis of information received from workplaces, the system is capable
of providing prompt analysis of the equipment loading factors (general
loading, processing, adjustmentment, tuning, repair, other kinds of idle
time) and forming target-accaunting diagrams of the orders execution with
current percentage of readiness of both industrial
parts and units, and the complex as a whole, specified to automate the
distribution of the orders and respective accounting documents procedures.
The basic technical solutions
The following automated workplaces (AWP) are used in the system: AWP
of the shop dispatcher; AWP of the production division foreman (the number
of workplaces
is unlimited). The dispatcher's AWP provides the results documenting in
accordance
with to the All-Russia State Standard or ISO 9000 standard recommendations.
It can be used for input of the necessary information: routing technologies,
information
about the equipment, workers, etc.
Requirements to the dispatcher's AWP: Pentium-4 computer, МS Windows
2000, XP operational system.
To the foremen's AWP - practically any low-level computer (Pentium
with MS Windows 98 operational system), connected to the dispatcher's
AWP by local network can be used.
The data are stored in the MS SQL Server format. The access to the database
is regulated using software and hardware tools.
Substantiation of the system application
The expenses for the integrated system Zenith introduction are long-term
balanced investment in effective management of the enterprise industrial
divisions.
By the preliminary estimation, use of the system on small-size and individual
manufactures is capable of increasing the equipment loading factor 1.5-2
times (from traditional value of 0.45 up to 0.8).
As a consequence, there is provided:
- decrease of standard expenses and cost of production;
- continuous control of material flows in shops and in divisions.
As a result, this allows to bring down demand for current capital.

ZENITH REPORT - A VERSALITE
REPORTS GENERATOR
There has been developed and introduces into a number a enterprises the
universal
reports generator "Zenith Report", which comprises a powerful
set of tools for
adjustment of user interface and transformation of output information.
It allows, with the expenses minimal, to obtain high-quality output documents
generated
on the basis of information stored in standard databases formats. In comparison
with the analogues, Zenith Report features an optimum ratio of the document
designing simplicity
and quality.
Zenith Report works with databases of the following formats: MS SQL Server,
Interbase
and Paradox.
Zenith Report capabilities
Work with documents for users:
- Selection of the document creation parameters;
- preview and print;
- saving in the MS Excel file or in a standard graphic format;
- user programs run.
Additional capabilities:
- maintenance of the reports designs archive and creation of new documents;

of additional information, inclusion in the document of complex graphics,
